Anita Klein

Anita Klein studied at Chelsea School of Art, London and received her BA in Fine Art, and MFA in Printmaking from the Slade School of Art, London. From 2003 – 2006 she served as president of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers. Ms Klein has work in many private and public collections in Europe, the USA and Australia, including the Arts Council of Great Britain, the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, the British Museum and the British Library. She has had many solo exhibitions in the London as well as worldwide, and two monographs of her paintings have been published.

Her hand-made paintings, like her prints, depict the various activities and relationships of her family members. These depictions are often gently humorous. Through her beautiful and confident use of line and space with vibrant colour she creates images and memories which are universally understood.

Anita Klein now divides her time between studios in London and in Italy.
