Marilyn Perry
The beauty and evanescence of elements that constantly change — seascapes, water vistas, clouds, mists, fire — inspire Marilyn Perry’s paintings in watercolors and acrylics.
Following her formal education in European art history at Stanford University, the University of North Carolina, and the University of London, Dr. Marilyn Perry resided in Italy for more than a decade, writing and lecturing on Italian Renaissance art. She subsequently moved to New York City, where she served as President of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation (1984-2007) and Chairman of the Board of the World Monuments Fund (1990-2007). Her long experience in art history and cultural heritage preservation nurtures her career as a creative artist. She lives and paints in the Hudson River Valley, New York City, and Venice.
